Hell yeah, I'm finally here!

Wow.  My first blog post!  Decided to take the plunge today after getting myself registered on Gay-Worldnews.com. I noticed that other DJs in Second Life have their blogs posted there, so I figured what the hell and here I am! Hopefully I will be good and post something once in a while, but mostly I want to use this as my own personal little DJ blog. I think I'm going to get hooked up with the GA blog on SL soon and do the IGBC postings. IGBC for those of you who don't know, is the International Gay Beach Club @ Rehoboth Beach in Second Life. It's my home club there. I DJ there on Wednesday nights from 6-8 Pacific time. We have themes, sometimes a contest, raffles, sploders and LOADS of fun! I was lucky to start in SL when I did. I managed to get a really GREAT lot at Sleezywood Trailer park, and then my friend Connie found IGBC where we started hanging out. Jean Luc Guyot was such a great guy (and still is even off SL) he made me feel right at home, and didn't even flinch when I asked if I could try being a DJ. I had never done such a thing before, and let me tell you, my first month or two were definately 'trial and error' with emphasis on 'error'. However, with lots of help from other DJs (Shepherd, Rocket, Thick Kelly, Syriana Paine) I was able to find my own voice, and over 3 years later, I'm still at it. I love music, so it's been a real blast doing shows, wedding parties, benefits for Pride and charities. This week at IGBC we are planning on doing the "IGBC ASSISTED LIVING AND RETIREMENT VILLAGE PARTY". That's Wednesday at 6pm Pacific time. We're all aging our avatars about 60 years and the date will be 2071. Hope you can come out to see us and check out what DJ Coop will look like after her 13000th show at IGBC!
